. MEANING OF CLASSIFICATION AND TABULATION
Classification is a process of arranging things or data in groups or classes according to their resemblances and affinities. According to Secrist, Classification is the process of arranging data into sequences and groups according to their common characteristics or separating them different but related parts”. But Tabulation follows classification. It is a logical and systematic listing of related data in rows and columns.      

·         DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CLASSIFICATION AND TABULATION
-       Classification is the basis for tabulation, but tabulation is the basis for further analysis.
-       Classification is the basis for simplification and tabulation is the basis for presentation.
In the case of classification, data is divided into groups and subgroups on the basis of similarities and dissimilarities. In tabulation, data is listed according to a logical sequence of related characteristics
